July is here, and so is a whole menu of flavor across our Hollybrook communities! From backyard BBQ smoke to honey straight from the hive, tropical Christmas cookies to fresh-baked Jerusalem bagels, our residents are savoring summer one bite at a time. Here’s what’s cooking this month at a handful of our communities.
Bellevue Community
Bellevue’s Activity Director Bobbie is serving up a full plate of flavor and fun this July!
Upcoming Events & Special Celebrations:
- 7/9 – Red, White & BBQ: Pulled pork and all the fixings, s’mores by the fire, live entertainment, a dirty soda bar, and outdoor games.
- 7/10 – National Motorcycle Day: A motorcycle cruise-in followed by ice cream sundaes.
- 7/10 – Support Group: Fall Prevention
- 7/13 – Outing: Olive Garden
- 7/16 – Live Music: Peoria Barbershop Chorus performs at 6:30 PM
- 7/20 – Outing: Dollar General
- 7/23 – A Busy Day: Beltone hearing aid cleanings at 10 AM, a Gorgeous Grandma Photoshoot from 1:30–3:00 PM, and a Silver Evolutions resource meeting on downsizing and organization tips
- 7/24 – Christmas in July: Tropical drinks, Christmas cookies, gift bingo, and a “Melted Snowball Fight”
- 7/27 – Outing: Ross Dress for Less
- 7/29 – Food Truck Friday: Rubi’s Brick Oven Pizza rolls in!

Bradenton 14th Street Community
Our newest Activity Director, Keily, has already brought smiles with a round of Plinko — residents loved playing “Pick Up Your Cup, Choose Your Prize” for fun gifts!
Coming Up:
- 7/16 – Family Night: Yeehaw! It’s all about Texas this month, with plenty of Lone Star spirit to go around.
Keily is settling in and building out a full calendar of activities for August — stay tuned for more flavor from this community soon!
Bradenton 59th Street Community
A fantastic lineup of flavor and discovery is on tap this July!
- 7/15 – Cooking Class: A local chef joins residents to make and bake Jerusalem bagels — and of course, everyone gets to taste their handiwork.
- 7/17 – Live Bee Demonstration: A local bee farm visits with a honey tasting and a lesson on why bees matter to our environment.
- 7/20 – Florida Wildlife Visit: Residents will get up close with local wildlife, learn all about Florida’s creatures, and may even meet a rescued owl.
- 7/23 – Armchair Travel to Mexico: A family dinner night complete with a mariachi band and a delicious themed meal from our kitchen staff.

Danville Community
Welcome back to the newsletter, Danville! Here’s a look at the flavor-filled fun happening in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
