August is shaping up to be an exciting month across our communities, filled with connection, creativity, and a whole lot of summer fun. From meaningful fundraisers to vibrant local events, we’re proud to offer opportunities that bring our residents, families, and neighbors together.
In Charleston, we’re honored to once again host our annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Ride — a powerful event that unites us in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Meanwhile, Belleville is revving up for the return of our popular Car Cruise, back by popular demand and promising even more excitement!
Over in Bloomington, Fox Creek is celebrating the season with a State Fair extravaganza and a relaxing Paint & Sip Fundraiser that combines creativity with community spirit — all for a good cause.

We’re gearing up once again for our annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Ride in Charleston on Saturday, August 2nd! This meaningful event brings our community together to raise awareness and support the fight against Alzheimer’s. The day will begin with registration, donuts, t-shirt pick-up, and a silent auction starting at 9:00 AM, with take-off at 11:00 AM sharp. To help ease traffic and wait times the morning of the event, we encourage participants to pre-register anytime at the Villas of Holly Brook in Charleston.
We’re also looking for sponsors and volunteers to help make this year’s ride our best one yet. If you’d like to get involved, please call 217-512-2773. Let’s come together once more to help put an end to Alzheimer’s — more details to come!
We’re excited to announce the return of our Villas of Holly Brook Car Cruise in Belleville on Saturday, August 30th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM! After such an incredible turnout last year, we’re bringing it back — and it’s going to be even bigger and better!
Come out and enjoy a fantastic lineup of classic and custom cars, attendance prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the summer, connect with the community, and celebrate a shared love for all things on wheels!

Get ready for a fun-filled evening at the State Fair at The Villas of Holly Brook in Bloomington! Join us on Friday, August 8th at 5:00 PM at 2016 Fox Creek Rd for an exciting community event that’s open to the public.
Enjoy delicious eats from A to Z Catering’s Food Truck, serving up tasty tacos for purchase. Plus, there will be free games, prizes, a petting zoo, face painting with the Zoo Lady, and so much more!
It’s a perfect way to celebrate summer with friends, family, and the community. Come join the fun — we can’t wait to see you there!
Join us for a relaxing and creative evening at the Paint & Sip Fundraiser at The Villas of Holly Brook – Fox Creek in Bloomington on Tuesday, August 26th at 5:30 PM!
Enjoy step-by-step guidance from Lydia as she walks us through painting a beautiful summer scene. We’ll have wine, nonalcoholic drinks, and yummy snacks to enjoy while you paint.
The event is a $10 donation, and residents attend for free. All proceeds support a great cause!
