Our 4th of July Plans
Happy July!
As summer is now in full swing, our communities are gearing up for a summer filled with festivities, starting with the 4th of July!
Moments like these are more than just holidays — they’re opportunities for our residents to stay connected, feel included, and continue enjoying the traditions they’ve cherished for years. Celebrating together helps create joy, spark memories, and strengthen the sense of community that makes our communities so special.
Here’s what we have coming up:
Our Mt. Carmel community is excited to celebrate the 4th of July with a festive cookout lunch, complete with a snazzy dessert, patriotic decorations, and fun giveaways. Residents and staff will be decked out in red, white, and blue as they enjoy themed attire, a coloring contest, and puzzles throughout the day!
Bradenton 14th is turning up the patriotic spirit with our Red, White & Blue BBQ! Residents will enjoy classic cookout favorites while tapping their toes to festive music, testing their knowledge with themed trivia, and watching favorite Fourth of July films.
Danville is celebrating the 4th of July with a festive lunch filled with classic favorites and patriotic spirit! Many residents will be spending the day with visiting family, and in the evening, they’ll enjoy a view of fireworks sparkling off in the distance!
Brazil is kicking off the Independence Day festivities early with a dazzling fireworks display right at our community on July 2nd at dusk—around 9:30 PM! The celebration continues with a classic Car Show on July 5th!
Herrin is firing up the grill for a belated 4th of July cookout on July 9th at noon! Residents can look forward to a festive afternoon featuring delicious bratwurst, good company, and plenty of patriotic fun
As we celebrate independence this month, it’s also a meaningful time to reflect on what independence looks like as we age. One topic that can be especially difficult for families to navigate is knowing when it might be time for a loved one to stop driving. If you’ve noticed changes in a parent or senior loved one’s driving habits, our latest blog post, “Signs It May Be Time to Stop Driving,” offers helpful guidance and supportive tips for starting that conversation with care and compassion.
