The Village of Savoy was incorporated in 1956. It maintains a quality of life typically associated with small Midwestern towns. Savoy is south of Champaign and north of Willard Airport, making it a prime location because it is the south entrance corridor to Champaign. It is less than two miles from University of Illinois facilities like the State Farm Center, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and Memorial Stadium. It also has a close proximity to Carle Hospital.
